Less than 24 hours after being called up to the Majors by the Milwaukee Brewers, outfielder Sal Frelick had a debut to remember, in the field and at the plate, Saturday against the Atlanta Braves.
Frelick's first taste of the Majors couldn't have gone better. Offensively, he was perfect, finishing 3-for-3 with two RBI to help the Brewers pull off a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over Atlanta.
Making his mark!

Meanwhile, in the field, Frelick flashed leather more than once, making not one but two dramatic outfield grabs in the same inning.
With the Brewers trailing 3-2 in the top of the sixth, Frelick robbed two Braves of sure extra bases. First, Frelick victimized Marcell Ozuna, making a leaping grab before slamming back-first into the right-field wall. Then, a batter later, Frelick jumped up to make another remarkable grab in the right-field gap, taking at least a double away from Orlando Arcia.

MLB Pipeline ranks Frelick as the Brewers' No. 2 prospect and the 17th overall in baseball. Selected 15th overall by the Brewers in the 2021 MLB Draft out of Boston College, Frelick impressed at the minor-league level immediately, batting .314 with 15 home runs, 99 RBI and a .393 on-base percentage over 197 starts.
Frelick's father, Jeff, on hand in Milwaukee for his son's debut, called the moment "phenomenal."
" I'm so happy for him," Sal Frelick told Fox Sports Ken Rosenthal. "What he puts into it, it's been a dream of his, and he works hard at it."
