Our hot streak came to an end with a 0-3 mark in home run props on Tuesday night, so we're looking for a bounce-back winner on Wednesday night. Here are our three favorite home run bets for the MLB slate.
Mets vs. Braves, 7:20 p.m. ET
Marcell Ozuna has come out of the gates on fire to start the 2024 season. The Atlanta Braves slugger is batting .318 with five home runs and a .705 slugging percentage through 10 games, and he's staring down a great matchup on Wednesday night.
In 22 career at-bats against New York Mets left-hander Jose Quintana, Ozuna is batting .455 with two doubles and a homer. He also led the Braves in home runs and slugging percentage against lefties last season, so we love this price.
Brewers vs. Reds, 6:40 p.m. ET
Speaking of on fire, William Contreras is 11-25 with two home runs and seven RBIs in his last five games. The advanced stats are even better, too. The Milwaukee Brewers catcher leads MLB in average exit velocity (99.8 miles per hour) and hard-hit percentage (72.4 percent).
Cincinnati Reds starter Hunter Greene can rack up strikeouts in a hurry, but he also surrenders a ton of hard-hit balls and home runs. If he makes one mistake to Contreras on Wednesday night, he likely won't get that ball back.
Astros vs. Royals, 7:40 p.m. ET
MJ Melendez is on pace to have a career year with the Kansas City Royals. The outfielder is batting .333 with three home runs and a .727 slugging percentage through 10 games. He also ranks third in the league in barrel rate (24.0 percent) and fifth in average exit velocity (95.3 mph).
Spencer Arrighetti will be making his MLB debut with the Houston Astros, so fading him with a home run prop feels like a good idea.
