Lazio have reportedly taken a step forward in negotiations with Monza for exciting forward Andrea Colpani.

The Biancocelesti are aware that some important changes are needed in the summer to give Igor Tudor a squad more suitable to his project in the Italian capital. Various possible targets are being analysed by sporting director Angelo Fabiani as the transfer market approaches.

Luis Alberto is only weeks away from leaving Lazio this summer, leaving a gaping hole behind the Biancocelesti’s frontline, forcing the club to look for a creative attacking midfielder to help guide play. One player who has impressed this season is Colpani.

As reported by Tuttosport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lazio have already taken their first steps in talks with Monza, working on setting up a summer deal for Colpani. His price tag is expected to be around €15-20m and the two clubs have also started discussing the possible formula of the deal.

The 25-year-old Italian has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 36 Serie A appearances this term for the Biancorossi.
